Friday, 11 June 2021, 14:24:51
Trendstop brings FashionUnited readers a first look at how designers are utilising sustainable materials and incorporating them into their collections for Fall Winter 2022. Reinvent, Reuse, Recycle Exploring the archives to give past garments a second life offers designers the opportunity to create one-of-a-kind pieces with a uniquely hybrid feel. Elements of different items are pieced and patched together into new apparel with Fair Isle sweaters adding tactile cosiness to jacket panels and satin linings becoming statement pockets. A considered mix of textures, prints and finishes are put together using artisanal crafting techniques for an elevated reworking of previous iterations.
